Hi - I’m Bethany! I've lived in Forest Gate since 2013, and some of you may know me as a local mum to two small children, but by day I am a pastry and recipe development chef at the Trullo and Padella group, and the owner/founder of local business Tender Caramel.

I started Tender nearly 2 years ago, in the middle of a lockdown, and as a sort of new beginning for myself.

I’ve worked in restaurants for years, but like many in this industry had struggled to find the perfect balance between work and home life, along with a desire to find a greater fulfilment through work.

So - Tender was born! I make handmade and highly addictive caramels in any form possible, using the best British ingredients and seasonal flavours.

The part that warms my heart and inspired the name Tender, is that every purchase includes a donation to a charity focusing on mental health and well-being in young people, both through financial donations and time I spend volunteering - teaching and inspiring youngsters to follow their hearts and dreams.
