So since I moved to London seven years ago we’ve always been east, but it was the drawer of the flats and Epping Forest that brought us further east.

Being so close to the city with easy transport links, but in a more suburban area with plenty of green gives us the best of both worlds, that perfect balance of being both in and out of central.

There’s such a great sense of community in Forest Gate and Manor Park, locals working together on community projects, and just a more friendly neighbourly atmosphere, it was definitely the right choice.

I'm now looking forward to launching my new new pop up coffee venture Manor Coffee with my partner Nick that's set to make its beginnings as part of the first Manor Park Market. I work for Extract Coffee Roasters, an award winning London and Bristol roastery of 15 years and Nick is an interior designer with his own company, specialising in commercial retail and hospitality spaces.

Bringing speciality coffee to Manor Park via markets and events (for now!), we've got a couple of bespoke roasts for the market:

Espresso: (which will be in the hopper on the day making up all the drinks, and also available in 250g retail bags to purchase for home) is a delightful Indian, Colombian and El Salvador blend, with notes of hazelnut, caramel and cocoa as black, and with milk malt biscuit and milk chocolate.

Filter: (only available as 250g retails to buy for home) is a single origin Guatemalan, bursting with apricot, brown sugar and praline.

Retail can be bought wholebean but we'll have a grinder with us to grind to customers needs.

Extract were recently the first roastery to be awarded the Best All Round Coffee Roaster at this years London Coffee Festival too, so it literally is award winning coffee.

We'll have a selection of speciality Extract teas too, as well as a super Dark Chocolate (milk powder free so suitable for vegans with oat milk) so there will be something for everyone.

We're looking forward to being a part of the Manor Park Spring Market alongside the local illustrators, bakers, plant and ceramics vendors and other creatives to bring the local community together and showcase some local talent including:
