Hi I'm Andy Bowler, local chef and I suppose an entrepreneur. Prior to Covid, I spent my career working in some of London’s best Michelin Star restaurants. I started my career working for Michael Roux Jnr training in modern French cuisine. I then spent 5 years working for Simon Rogan in two of his London restaurants – Fera at Claridges and Roganic. Shortly after joining Rogan’s team I was promoted to Sous Chef. My most recent role was Sous Chef at Gordon Ramsay’s Petrus.
As with many chefs around the country, when the coronavirus pandemic hit and all restaurants were forced to close their doors, I was determined to seize the opportunity and keep progressing my career. I started by entering The Craft Guild of Chefs 'National Chef of the Year' competition and was successful in making it to the semi-finals. And I then started Indulge Dining - cooking fine dining meal-kits and delivering them across London.
For those of you that haven’t heard of Indulge Dining – it all started one evening on a zoom call with some friends they started saying how much they missed restaurant food. So I began working on the concept of relaxed fine-dining at home. Indulge started in my home kitchen in a one bedroom flat delivering to those foodie friends.
"The word spread, the Instagram following grew and I am so proud to say the business now has its own production unit and the meal-kits can be delivered nationwide!"
Tracks in Forest Gate was a great support to my business and allowed us to run a supper club once a month where I showcase some of the latest dishes on the Indulge menus in the form of a sharing plates tasting menu with matching wines.
